Description

  • Keeps produce fresh for weeks, not days: one buyer reported blueberries still good after two weeks when they normally spoil in a few days. The Fridgie absorbs the ethylene gas that speeds ripening, so your fruits and veggies stay firm and usable longer.
  • About $1.31 a month: 4 refill packets give you up to a full year of protection for the price of one Fridgie, which works out to about $1.31 a month at $15.69. A year of fresher produce pays for itself fast.
  • Up to a full year of coverage, clearly explained: each box has 2 reusable Fridgie cases and 4 sealed absorber packets. Put 1 packet in each case. Each packet lasts up to 6 months, so swap both at the 6 month mark and the kit covers a full year. No guesswork.
  • Set it and forget it, with a built-in refill reminder: place it near your produce in a drawer, bowl, or bin. No setup, no maintenance. Scan the QR code on the box to get a refill reminder so you never miss a swap.
  • Reusable case, no mess, natural mineral blend: the durable case holds the packet so there is no torn pouch or loose powder in your fridge. The granules are non-toxic and safe for soil. Refill and reuse the same case again and again.

My berries last now

I buy produce with a lot of optimism and then watch it die in the drawer, so an ethylene absorber was worth a try. It's a simple thing, two little cases and packets you drop inside, and they go in the crisper drawer. Berries are the clearest result for me, raspberries that normally go fuzzy in three days made it past a week. My herbs and greens are lasting noticeably longer too. Ease of use is basically zero effort, put it in and forget about it. The value for money works out if you use the packets fully, four packets at six months each covers two years for 18$. My one note is there's no indicator on the packet, so you're either writing the date somewhere or guessing when it's spent. I stuck a piece of tape on mine with the month on it.

Keeps fruit and veg fresh - Fridgie fresh.

You’ll see nothing obvious for a week until you take your week old strawberries and find they’re still fresh.

Simple idea for helping produce last longer

This is a really simple concept for helping keep fruits and vegetables fresher in the refrigerator. The reusable cases are small enough to place in a crisper drawer without taking away much storage space, and the packets are easy to replace when needed. I especially like that the set includes two cases so they can be used in separate drawers or areas of the refrigerator. If it helps cut down on produce being thrown away, that alone makes it a useful addition to the fridge.

How to Prepare for keeping Produce Fresh with a Fridgie

You need two tools that don't come with the product. That's no problem. You've got both a pair of scissors and a quarter. (Yes, I mean a coin worth 25 cents.) Use the quarter to open the plastic turquoise mini-refrigerator with the holes in the sides. The front comes off more easily with a quarter than with other coins. Put the edge of the coin in the track where you're trying to get your fingers or fingernails to hold on well enough to "open" the turquoise plastic thing. then give the quarter a quarter-turn in either direction. The front comes off easily. The next thing the instructions leave out is that the transparent plastic coverings hold two "fridgie" packets, so you need to tear or cut the transparent covering off. It's easiest to tap the packet down on either end and cut off the other end so that you've made a large enough margin at the top. Finally, the air permeable packets don't fit into the refrigerator until you have folded them in half, so that the top and bottom meet. Then they turn sideways and fit easily. Finally, sort your (methane producing produce) perishables into the fruit basket at the bottom of your refrigerator (carefully listed in the instructions). Sort your vegetables (methane sensitive produce) into the drawer marked for vegetables. Put one packet filled plastic compartment into each.If it works, the value for money will be great. I haven't noticed any unpleasant odor, the measurements are in the description, and the quality is plastic, but plastic is enough.

Easy to use

I'm just now starting to use this so I will have to update on its effectiveness at keeping fruit fresh but the theory makes sense to me soo it should work. The product is easy to use, small enough to not take up too much room, and cute. I like that it is non toxic and I don't have to worry about disposal when it is used up in 6 months. I also love that I don't need to change it frequently. 6 months of use is great!

Good but...

the price point is a little high. So you want food to last, well maybe don't buy so much. Let me stop. I would say that the product does work. Really a novelty. The size, ease of cleaning, and quality are decent. One star deleted for the cost.

Difficult to open

Very difficult to open, had to pry it open with a butter knife from the side. Save your fingertips by getting a different version.

This item is worth every cent.

This item is definitely worth the price. My vegetables last twice as long if not longer. The item isn’t fancy. It simply does what it is created to do. I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to save money.

seems to be working

These replacement dog collars were exactly what I needed and worked perfectly with our training collar system. The material feels durable, the fit is easy to adjust, and the collars securely hold the training device in place. One of my favorite features is the bright orange color. Most of our original collars were black, and the orange is much easier to spot in the yard, around the house, or when the dogs are running through tall grass. The quality feels comparable to the original collar straps, and the overall construction is sturdy and well made. For the quality, visibility, and value, I think these are an excellent replacement option.I have multiple dogs, and when they play rough, they sometimes end up chewing on each other's collars. Because of that, replacement straps are something I occasionally need. These were very easy to install, fit the training collar unit without any issues, and have held up well during everyday use. Their versatility makes them useful as replacements, backups, or simply as a way to change the color of an existing training collar setup. Overall, these are durable, easy-to-use replacement collars that solved a problem for me and have performed exactly as expected.

Extends the life of produce!

These produce savers are cute little vintage looking plastic fridges. You simply open the ethylene absorbing pouch and place it in the plastic fridgie. I've used these for about a month now. I have noticed a more longevity in my produce with these in use. I like that they come with a reminder magnet for when its time to change the absorbers out. The set come with 4 absorbers and 2 fridgies so this is enough for six months for both fridgies. The absorbers are supposed to last 3 months before needing to change them out.

A Simple Way to Keep Produce Fresh Longer!

This Produce Saver really surprised me! I’ve noticed my fruits and vegetables are staying fresher much longer, which means less waste and fewer trips to the store. It’s easy to place in the fridge, and I love that it helps absorb ethylene gas to slow ripening naturally. It's not too big, but it's durable and cute!Such a simple little product, but it makes a big difference—especially for anyone trying to save money and reduce food waste!

Interesting Concept

I was skeptical about this little blue gadget claiming to extend the life of produce, but I figured it was worth a try since I’m constantly tossing out berries and leafy greens too soon. I’ve been using it in my fridge for a few weeks now, and I’ve noticed my fruit definitely isn’t turning on me as quickly. It’s a simple concept, just an ethylene gas absorber, but it seems to slow down ripening enough that my bananas and avocados are lasting a bit longer than usual. Nothing dramatic or magical, but enough that I’ve cut down on some food waste. It’s small, lightweight, and just sits quietly in the fridge doing its thing for months without needing attention. I also like that there’s no smell or maintenance involved. Price point seems decent if the durability is as advertised. Time will show. The shell material is of good, decent quality.Overall, it feels like a low effort, low risk way to stretch produce life a bit longer, even if it’s not a miracle worker.

berries lasted almost a week longer, this thing actually works

this little produce saver actually works. tossed it in the crisper drawer and noticed my berries and greens lasting noticeably longer than they usually do. strawberries that would normally get soft in 3 days were still firm after almost a week. same with lettuce and spinach, they stayed crisp instead of wilting and getting slimy.the concept is simple, it absorbs the ethylene gas that fruits and veggies release which is what causes them to ripen and eventually go bad. you just drop it in the drawer and forget about it. no maintenance or refilling needed and it lasts 6 months which is a solid run. if you're someone who buys fresh produce and ends up throwing some away before you can eat it, this pays for itself pretty quickly in reduced food waste. couldn't be easier to use.

Vegetables Stayed Fresh

After using this product for approximately one month, I do notice a significant difference the freshness of my vegetables. I used one in the fridge drawer and one in a basket on my countertop and both of them kept my vegetables more fresh for longer periods of time. I will be recommending this to my friends and family.
